Types of Mushroom plants
A) Freon system plant
Plants of this type are recommended for the production of small farms of approximately 200 to 300 kg. These devices operate completely automatically to precisely control temperature and humidity. This is a very compact system that can be installed at very small intervals.
B) Cold water (secondary refrigerant) cooling system
In this system, cooling is achieved by circulating cooling water through the coils of the air handling device. In this cooling method, PHE evaporator and IBT system can be used. Ammonia is used as the main refrigerant and system automation can also be achieved.
C) Gravity feed (direct ammonia) system
This method is the most effective. In this method, the expanded ammonia solution is directly supplied to the pressure control drum of the air treatment device and flows in the coil by gravity. There is no heat loss in the system as refrigerant expansion occurs within the AHU. Thus, the system achieves maximum cooling with minimal power consumption.
