COLDMAX flake ice machine introduce

Commercial flake ice machines from COLDMAX produce fresh and clean flake ice, suitable for the food and fish industry. Ice flakes are flat, thin pieces of ice (1.8 - 2.2 mm) that are formed on the inner surface of the drum by pouring a film of water on it. When you touch the drum, the water freezes in a sheet of water. This ice is sub cooled to become brittle and then breaks with an ice knife, which causes the ice to fall into the tank.

At COLDMAX we have made the deliberate decision to use a vertical ice drum, instead of a horizontal design. In this way, we were able to significantly reduce the number of rotating parts and avoid the risk of leakage and wear, maintaining the quality of the ice at the same time.

Another great feature of our commercial flake ice machines is that we have chosen to use a heavy-duty stainless steel ice blade. This knife breaks the ice of the drum, without touching the inner ice drum. This high strength ice knife gives us two distinct advantages.

1st, it stops the wear of both the ice drum and the ice knife, which considerably reduces maintenance and extends the life of the machine.

2nd, this method allows commercial COLDMAX flake ice machines to operate without the need to add salt.
