The technology of our 20 ton container flake ice plant is the foundation of our business. The machine has been designed simply and is reliable, durable and reliable.
The COLDMAX commercial flake ice machines produce fresh and clean flake ice, ideal for the food and fish industry. Ice flakes are flat, thin pieces of ice (1.8 - 2.2 mm) that form on the inside of the drum by pouring a film of water on top. When you touch the drum, the water freezes in a sheet of water. This ice is overcooled, becomes brittle and then breaks with an ice knife, causing the ice to fall into the reservoir.
At COLDMAX, we deliberately chose to use a vertical rather than a horizontal ice drum. Thanks to this measure, we were able to significantly reduce the number of rotating parts and avoid the risk of leaks and wear while maintaining the quality of the ice.
Another peculiarity of our commercial flake ice production plants is that we have chosen a high-performance stainless steel ice cream knife. This knife breaks the drumming ice without touching the inner ice drum. This high strength ice knife offers us two key advantages. Firstly, the wear on both the ice drum and the ice knife is limited, thereby significantly reducing maintenance and extending the life of the machine. On the other hand, the commercial ice cream machines COLDMAX can work with this method without salt being added to the mixture.
Of course, with many of our commercial scale ice makers being used in the food industry, we make sure that all our appliances meet the strictest food safety requirements.
All our machines are fully tested before delivery and can be delivered both plug and play.
