4. Control System
The control system installed is complex and uncomplicated. The operator just need to start cooling simply by touching a button on the screen. The cycle stops automatically when the set target temperature is reached. A PLC system is installed to enable loop recording functions and the like. Regardless of the mode of operation selected, the failsafe circuitry ensures that the system shuts down safely when the monitoring device detects a fault.
As we all know, the quality of all fresh products begin to deteriorate after harvest and then keep declining. The target of harvesting, picking, cooling and transporting vegetables is to maintain the initial quality as much as possible. Hence, quality is the result of the physiological and microbial activity of the harvested product. This degradation is a result of time and temperature.
Simply put, the faster the post-harvest cooling, the better the quality and the longer the shelf life.
Vacuum cooling is the means to achieve this goal.
